Should refusing to trade because of a low price be permitted? Today, I sniped an auction for Elemental Wand 3 for 48m. The seller refused to sell it because it was too low although the auction had already ended. Was this the right thing to do?

No it's not. It's his fault for putting the price low, and he could have placed a minimum selling bid, so that your offer would not be enough, making the auction null. Report his actions. link

Yeah. He shouldn't do that. If anything, they should put a reserve price. But I think the reserve prices are stupid. Putting something for under what you are willing to sell it for is completely idiotic. You have to be willing to sell it for what you put it as. As Doomsday said, report him. Include the PM he sent you saying that.

You would need proof that the seller actually told you that. Better to get a screenshot of in-game contact or link to Pm's.

If you have evidence of that auction with its reserve price and minimum bid, you could report him without hesitation.

No it is not permitted. Give proof that you bought it for that price and proof that he told you that. Then report him.

That way the item doesn't get sold below a specific price, even if the auction ends. It's his own fault for not being responsible.

Suffer the consequences of your own studpity. It was the seller's fault for not putting "sniper protection" on. It was the seller's fault that he didn't put a reserve price. It was the seller's fault that he didn't make the starting bid the minimum price he would sell it for.
