Im lvl 30 and i dont know wht i want to become a f/p or an i/l ..... i need help deciding. Which is better and how?

For me its f/p. Why? F/p 3rd job will help you level faster to 120 in your mid 80's.Even without 2x exp.Thats just me.

ummm i remember my first character was a mage. i went i/l, then quit him and remade f/p. the thought of myst seemed pretty fun. although i heard it burns pots like crazy. i quitted my mage at 61 lol, but i was thinkin of gettin him to 3rd job just for fun.

F/p mage who go with poision mist build is a pot burner because they train at a monster higher lvl they yourself. Poison mist 1st>Pot burner Explosion 1st>Less pot

An F/P mage will tell you F/P. A I/L mage will tell you I/L. Really, look at the answers and then look at what class the poster is. But in reality, it really depends on YOU and how you like to play. I'm an F/P and I can understand why many people don't choose them. It's semi-hard (not if you read up on the guides in the f/p forum) to train in the 50's. The training style is different from the norm, as you'll be utilizing poison and changing back and forth between channels. People will underestimate you, and you won't make very much money in the beginning. But I love it. All of that. I love the hard grinding at my level, because I know at 70 it's smooth sailing. I love poisoning, changing a channel, poisoning again, and returning to the original channel and killing the monsters. I loved it when people would underestimate me during my CPQ days, and would team with anyone but me, only for me to solo 500 and demolish them (though dexless sins always beat me. grr). =D I love it when people think I'm weak and then go O.O when they see me out damage them and they're a higher level (but that's more so because i'm low luck). I love PB'ing and seeing the monsters turn green, and wobble towards me in hordes. But that's just me. And you may find these same things unpleasant/annoying.

sigh...Listen Meteo=Blizzard in terms of damage, all abt what you like. If u like fire or red go F/P if u like ice or blue go I/L after lvl 120 both r same in terms of spamming ultimates that have the same base damage -_-

DON'T SPEAK IF YOU DON'T KNOW X_X. We might burn more pots, but we also level at least x4 as fast as others! Therefore our pot costs per level are about the same. Also, if you know how to Telecast, there's no reason to burn any potions. At all.

in terms of money, since they are equal in the end... f/p mage is cheaper...but MANY folds. meteor shower 20 = about 8 mil? blizzard 20 = 50 mil meteor shower 30 = 25 iml? blizzard 30 = 300 mil?

Blizzard 20 is like 3m. Stop spreading wrong information. Also Meteo 30 only drops from HT, which no one kills, there's gonna be a HUGE inflation soon.
