Hundreds of Millions. How do you do it?

As the title says I am wondering how y'all make all that money. I have tried EVERYTHING. I have done quests, but I always try the scrolls on stuff. I have trained/grind and end up spending it on pots. I have searched for rare items and none have dropped. I FAIL at merchanting because I always end with the same amount or about a 100k higher (don't ask...). Now.. I have been hacked, so I can't do any of the previous things. I am desperate to find out the secret (if there is one). If I can't make some money and fund myself I am just going to quit, so please help me out here...

I got 200M alone yesterday from choas scrolls.

Even 100k can help you make your way up if you give it the time. As ive read from numerous guides, go to ribbon pigs and collect leathers. Turn those leathers into work gloves and sell them for 50k or so each. After you reach a certain amount, start buying overall dex 10% from kerning city ch 1 near pq area for cheap and sell those. Than you should have enough for buuying more expensive scrolls at a lower price by searching through fm/spamming ch 1 fm entrance. Keeping going from there and with time you should have the mesos to get where you need.

You should try hunting down like exchange quest items and sell them in the fm.And do John barricades quest that gives a glove atk 60% scroll which you could sell for like 6.6mil. Then try buying things like tobis for a low cheap price and sell it for higher and then move onto steelys than ilbis

After that, I decided to buy some steelys (back when they were cheap) for about 2.3m. Then I sold them for 2.8m+. Then I repeated that. That helped me immensly back at lvl 14, but now I'm lvl 50 and have some more money problems

I am the proof that what you have just said is not true. It's possible to break 3-4 billions by just merchanting if you are good.

Self-control. Instead of using those scrolls, sell them. Instead of spending every single mesos upgrading equips, save it.
