Things to buy in Vietnam/China/Japan

I'm going to each place this summer (well maybe not China, but we might take a pitstop there for a day) and I've always heard that stuff there is cheaper... I'm wondering what kind of stuff I should buy there :D Obviously I'll pick up some pirated DVDs and/or maybe a few video games, but can anyone tell me the approximate US dollar equivalent for these? I also wanna know what kind of stuff I can't easily find in America that I should pick up (ex, anime related stuff, fancy toothpick holders, paper dragons, scrolls, fancy fans...) - namely "useless" trinkets that I can give to my friends or keep in my room forever.

My friend went to China and bought me a keychain. Sounds lame but it is sooo awesome. It's a breadroll keychain. It looks and feels and SMELLS exactly like a REAL breadroll (but it isn't, durr). It smells all buttery. <3 So yeah. Buy your friends keychains.

While you're in China, get some bootlegs. They have loads of jeans. *rimshot* Srs ansr: If you're looking for anime things, you should go to Akiba in Japan. I think Hong Kong also has a bunch of anime stores.

If you do not care about quality as much or you can take care of items pretty well, I suggest you to get some fake anime/manga items at China. Go to the street markets that have a place where they sell anime/manga merchandise. If you are able to speak their language, I can guarantee you can get a good deal. Since it gets extremely competitive between markets. I manage to get a pretty good quality anime imprinted fan for $0.10 USD. Pretty cheap I say. A lot of the times, you can get clothes also. There is a lot to do! I have been to those places before, you could PM me to ask questions. Such as food, etc, etc.?

Quality is obviously not the same but anywhere at Asia (hell, even in the United States) you can find fake LV and Gucci bags. When I went to Japan, this man told me his wife loves going to China because you can get a lot of cheap items and he told us how there was this one brand called "LVDior."
