In every single thread I see in the Archer section, archers themselves are stating "Archers suck" or "Go with Sniper". There's nothing wrong with it, but I just don't see why you would pick a job if you dislike it. Telling someone to go with Sniper or even a Ranger is simply stupid because it's supposed to be what they find enjoying. Instead of telling them what to do, you should tell them to equip both since at Pre-30 they could equip both and get the feel of which to enjoy better. But besides all this.. What happened to the Ranger pride in basilers? What happened to the Archer pride in general on basil?

wow, archers upset about their scroll prices? Sins are 3x as much, and don't get started on high level claws D: yet we do fine, no CFCS in the making.

Having a high leveled bowman used to be a filter, only those who knew how to play their character and enjoyed it prevailed. It used to take effort. Now you can leech to 130, knowing nothing about bowmen whatsoever. I liked being a unique, proud and weak Ranger back in the days when people thought we were nice and honest people. I care more about archers reputation than scroll prices, as well as I judge bowmasters by what theyre like and not what damage ranges they have. New fast leveling bowmen seem to have above average damage ranges and below average reputation though " I second this, in addition, here are my views on this general topic: ~The birth of leeching demoralizes those who take time and effort to train and level ----------Leechers influence others to start leeching, compromising on enjoyment of the game ==========i.e instead of training and exploring when you get bored, you hang on to a rope and afk. ----------Leechers cause a big gap in power within maple society - rich players get to leech and lv higher + get better equips, invalidating factors such as determination and self-motivation. ~30% scrolls for bow are too high. ----------True that Claw 30% is higher, but the retail price for well scrolled claws are much better than that of a well scrolled bow. ==========When Bow 30% were 5 mil, I had no problem selling my 109 metus for 180 mil, NOW it's hard to scrape out anything above 120 mil ----------Advocates of the CFCS are not selfish, they are not using propaganda or anything, they are stating facts, and the decision is up to the other player. Final Point: Maplestory has lost its integrity and good clean fun it possessed during its first few years under Wizet. Now it has turned into a race for power as a result of the necessity of NX to keep up with the population, among other factors. I have played this char for almost 4 years, and the biggest change I see is that the object of Maplestory transformed from having fun, exploring, and meeting others, to getting stronger and richer (if it means scamming). I can almost guarantee you that those rich and powerful pros are not even close to having as much fun as those poor weak noobs back then, as their maple schedule consists of bossing, apqing, leeching/training, sitting there in FM, or [dating random chicks on MS.] <--- saddest one of all

MapleStory isn't a story if you leech, it's called LeecherStory after you do leech, ArrowStorm in Bera is this biggest pride of archers, and with IronArrows in our alliance, we tell every archer choose what class seems more intresting, or which one suits your style of play. ArrowStorm and IronArrows FTW.

Just this morning, in fact, a person was trying to find BF so his friend could leech him. He didn't even know where it was. I told the guy not to do too much of that because it would make him useless when he gets to higher levels. The guy clearly wasn't looking to get a toe because he was still level 6x. Don't you think that Nexon put the whole Family System into place to try to reduce leeching and get higher level players mentoring those under them? I have had friends leech me a level here and there, but the number of times I've leeched is definitely less than five. Only when I was having a particularly tough time, did I leech (i.e., early 8x when in transition between training spots and a couple of other times that I can think of). ==========i.e instead of training and exploring when you get bored, you hang on to a rope and afk. ----------Leechers cause a big gap in power within maple society - rich players get to leech and lv higher + get better equips, invalidating factors such as determination and self-motivation. Not all "rich" players leech to get to higher levels. Maybe that's the way it works most of the time, but I don't think you can make a blanket statement like that. My perspective is that Maplestory is a free game, but they have to pay people to program and work for them to make the game better. If Nexon can't make money some how, how do you expect them

Rapptz said: " Wow. o.o' Seriously? That's messed up, Bow scrolls aren't even that expensive." Well, I'm one of them... XD I'm one of those who discourages others from making a bowman. It's not about the pride. It's about bandwagons. Why bother telling someone who already has a Bishop or Nightlord or Hero etc that Archers are fun? They probably won't get it either. To my friends who already have high levelled characters, I most definitely will NOT recommend bowman to them. It's just wasting their time and resources since most of them won't bother playing it when that fella gets to around lvl35. They might be better off starting a new mage or dit, isn't it? Some characters that would induce their attention span for a much longer period of time than bowman does. Anyway, it's only under one situation that I would recommend bowman to my my friends who wanna start a new character; when I don't want them to quit their characters. XD Some people have a weird personality (people like me) who adopts different personalities with the different characters that they play. I get a little altruistic when playing my bowman, be it bowman or hunter or simply an archer, and I get a little introvert when I'm playing my Mage. One heck of a weird personality, huh? (Some get really vulgar when playing short-ranged character. Perhaps it due to getting frequent KS-es at early lvls of the character...?)

I totally agrees, I'm pretty sure a lot high level players (those who didn't started an archer) will get bored of the archer's tedious leveling process. Most likely the reason due to bowman's real fun only start coming after our dmg stablizes and having cool spells like bomb arrow, which makes it like late 30ish to 40 ish, very long starting period. Where as, sin or mages, u can already feel the fun on first job. Not so sure about pirates, it's still quite a new class to me. IMHO, out of all range class, in low level, archers are the least fun to grind ur level with, mb it's cool showing off ur bow, but that's about it. We can't jump shot like sins, deals incredible dmg like mage, or have those awesome pirate skills, all we can do is rely on our range and shoot it off, and make fun out of having a crit of 1s. well, but if the person starting as a bowman has the patience to level it high enough (40+ i say would be amazingly enough for bowman, cuz the bomb just owns) they won't regret making it. I'm a 3rd job ranger now, and i'm proud of being an archer XD Our inferno looks cool, puppets are fun, arrow rain mobs, hawk stuns 99%, and strafe shoots like machine gun (well, semi machine gun if u compare it to hurricane). Those are too fun to miss out with. Well, I have to be honest that I have really little knowledge of other class's skills; but who cares, are they holding the good looking bow/xbow we are holding? no, so they can step aside. the only really issue bowman has is of our low hp, but same thing go with sins (ironic enough, i see more sins complain of dying due to low hp, instead of lags like most archers would :D) For those who look for making a bowman, have patience: in low level, u will probly be sitting in a really bad training pot grinding cuz u just get ksd by all the other class; in kpq, u will be jealous of how all the mages are welcomed most, and how u are always the last person getting the passes; in cpq, u will find urself really useless in room 1/2, unable to solo 500 in 3/4, and get way ownd by some low lvl sin in 5/6 (well, i cpq'd with a i/l mage, so not so hard for me :p); in most of the time u go out questing with friends, u will probly be the last person getting all the needed materials due to all the bow whacking actions. But as soon as u get into lmpq, ppl will be jealous of how u can bomb all three manics without getting dmgd. As soon as u get t

Even though other jobs also get good boost at 3rd job, they won't have as much fun as u do. I hope, for those who didnt make an archer before, if u see another ranger or sniper next time, u can give him a pad on the shoulder and tell him, "you have come this far, good job"" ...Unless they leeched. xD
