Is Newties that bad or am I doing something wrong?

So I'm at the point where typhons is losing it's awesomeness and I'm forced to find somewhere better to train. So I decide to go to newties, and I'm doing the middle....and I find out the exp/hr is kind of well, bad. I'm getting like... 12%/hr, give or take 1-2%. So I decide to bottom newties, but I'm getting a similar exp/hr (maybe SLIGHTLY higher, like 13-14%) Typhons gave me just over 20% last level, I'm sure it decreased. My skills are: Lv 30 AR Lv 30 Strafe Lv 21 Hawk Lv 9 Puppet Lv 1 Inferno Some of my friends say that newties is a great place to train, but yet I fail to see the greatness... am I doing something wrong?

Maybe cuz you're not getting leech exp from the gollem kills? They're 8k exp per kill. You gotta be lvl 105 + to get exp from party kill from them.

I only get around 15%/hr sniping newts with a friend. I get less solo, since it takes a while to kill. 30%~35%/hr at Typhons solo. Compare. 15% difference. You should still be at Typhons.

i dont see you doing anything wrong unless u forgot that the 20% you got was from 2x maybe? maybe a newtie party might help increase that

12%/hr is not that really bad.... Mostly when you get 6%/hour, then that's bad. Even for me, 9%/hr is still pretty decent. I think if you really want to take advantage newties parties (2-3 attackers & Priest for HS) then u'll see how newties can give you the perks you've been looking for. Make sure u get to lvl 105 when u get to newties party, so u'll get exp from nest golem. You can also try to train at Nightshadows (about 3600 exp/each). I'm not sure if you can do guardians yet eventhough they give about 6000exp/kill (sorry for not quoting exact numbers, I don't train @ guardians). Also what I'm thinking is because your lvl. At higher lvl, let's say 105++, your attack will be greater (I assume you'll put in DEX when u lvl up), so u'll kill faster, which is mean faster %/hour.

Do you use hawk to hit both newties? I'm 106 and I still can get like 17%/hr at jr newties.

I am currently 102 as well and I plan to stay to Typhons 'til I have enough base hp to survive a Nest Golem-Transformed hit.

I'm going there solo, does that make a difference? pretty much everywhere I went solo/party exp was relatively the same and all the exp/hr % there are on 1x, not 2x or 4x

I get around 20%/hr-30%/hr in a jr newtie party, determining the members.

If you do plan to solo, then typhons should be still very good. Actually for myself, I have been alternating between newties/nest golem solo, newties & nest golem parties, & typhons.

I can already take a transformed nest golem , and yes I use hawk on middle/bottom. I guess I'll have to go back at level 105 and find a party then. is there another solo area that gives around 20%/hr without the pot burn of typhons? xD

hmm there aren't any solo maps i know of that are as awesome as typhons xD (unless you wanna try himes pot burn? lol) i would stick with typhons for now (i found it better than soloing newts until early 12x)
