Hello Chat section of Basilmarket. As some of you know, Rvb covered a very important issue in one of their older PSA's. This issue was of course Zombies. Now I know what your saying, " Why did I come into this thread, I'm so bored" Wrong! Your about to be informed What is a Zombie plan? A Zombie plan is a detailed/disparate plan to counter the Zombie menace that may or may not happen in 2012. There is no Zombie menace. Yet, to be honest if you do not believe that there will be a Zombie up rising, Then the name on your birth certificate should be changed to Dinner. What if I don't have a Zombie plan? Sucks to be you my friend. That's not very nice! The truth hurts. ---- Now I'm sure there are a few of you, maybe even one of you with a somewhat decent Zombie plan. I would like to humbly ask that you enlighten me with it. A Simple post of your detailed plan will do. I myself already have a Zombie plan. This plan is so foolproof I will be among the last known survivors of mankind. I shall inform you of my plan once we have 50+ Zombie plans posted in this thread. The Best Zombie plan from each page will be posted in this main post. I would gather a giant group of people (talk about thousands), and build a massive reinforced building hidden deep inside a forest, with a wall around it. Then we would get tons of canned food and water, so we eventually would be able to stay in there for years. Then gather chainsaws for short range, and guns (miniguns and snipers) to take out the zombies from range. Then, break open a zoo (or more), and lead all animals to the building, so they can guard. Eventually, if the zombis might take over the building, we would still have a giant amout of helicopters, so everybody can get away safely. EDIT: Build the fort on an island, assuming zombies can't swim to well. Sounds pretty solid I think :D EDIT: Heck, all these stories sound pretty epic :D Big groups of cold-hearted people walking through the streets, taking out zombies, helping survivors... Nice :D

First, Location would be the first thing I would think of. Probably a school with tall brick walls, so nobody can climb over. With one entrance, and an underground escape path, Zombies won't be able to penetrate the place. I will probably steal solar panels from research labs and other places, so my place can still run on electricity. I will grow a huge garden ranging with flowers and food, so I will be able to survive. After my family and I have the place running, we will take in only people we trust and aren't zombies. In case that a zombie or only a few gets in, my dad, sister, and I(as we know karate and other self-defenses) will kill them. We will set up detonators a few yards away so if we need to escape, we will be able to get a head start. Grocery Warehouses contain so much food(such as canned foods) so we will have a nice supply. Once the zombies die of starvation, we will continue livng in there, but expanding our zombie free homes to other schools. =D EDIT: There won't be any need for weapons, although the detonators and guns will come in handy. UNDERGROUND TUNNEL FTW!

They could break into your building and kill/infect people who go for the helicopters! Edit: @ person above, what if zombies are already in all the buildings, and while you're trying to kill one with self defense, it infects you or your sister or dad? And what if they start seiging the base, the detonators can't kill ALL of them, and they might knock down the door or come up through the tunnel.

Ok well me and my lil brother came up with this one because we've had what we'd call stoner moments and just daydreamed about this stuff but what we'd do is have a backhoe or something and dig a giant hole in the middle of the yard or field but thats for amusement because we'd hang up some sort of dead body or something that the zombies would be attracted to and just fall into the hole that they can't get out of and every now and then throw some gas and burn them but we'd go on scavenge hunts and have a ton of guns were talking like snipers shotties grenades pipe bombs few auto's and just about 3 tons of ammo for each one we'd also have a CB radio for trying to get into contact with other survivors because we all know the internet won't be accessible anymore back up generators we'd also highjack a fuel truck that refills the gas stations around town because a) its big heavy and unstoppable and B) we wouldn't ever need gas as long as we had some in the tank but we would build our fortress or safe house about 3 stories tall and the top floor would have just a cage like roof so if birds or anything turned they couldn't get in yet we could still pick off zombies that made it past the huge hole of death as for a long term thing i'd have to go with mre's because anything that you could grow or farm or animal wise could always have that chance of getting infected or something plus i live near natural springs underground so it wouldn't be too hard for me to get water fresh from 3000 feet underground i also live neara military base so that does help.

Well first off, assuming that everyone knows that there is going to be a zombie outbreak, we can take over the building before the zombies do. And the whole reason it's called a "SECRET UNDERGROUND TUNNEL" is because one entrance is under a tile in the building, while the other entrance/exit is under a hill, covered by trees and a door flap that has a patch of grass on top to blend in with the hill

And the zombies might seige the school, first few rows get killed by detonators, but then all others go on and overwhelm you. Then there's the chance of the infection becoming air borne, so everyone would be infected anyways.

Ok, I'm going to make one plan, with everything included I've read on the previous pages. First, gather an army. Bigger is better, so talk about thousands of people. No pussies, but fighters, survivors, willing to risk their lives for others. Then, find a deserted island, which is big enough to put a massive fort on. Then, build a fort with 30ft high walls, an underground escape route, and to prevent birds coming in, put heat-seeking cannons and guns on the roof, that will take things flying in. Next on, place mines and traps all around the island. Next step is to start and run the fort. Build a massive garden which provides food (thanks Rezunia), and build solar panels on the roof to run the place (thanks to Rezunia again). Next step is to gather food, in the case the garden has a bad year. Then gather weapons. If the zombies might get close, you need things like katanas and chainsaws, and from long distance, get snipers for precision work and miniguns to take out big groups, and of course enough ammo. When the invasion reaches its highest point, you might need some kamikaze-warriors, willing to fly airplanes into big groups of zombies. Before you send out the airplanes, take off the heat-seeking guns on the roof. Now, if the zombies might take over the place, people gan flee underground, but they can also escape by helicopters, so be sure you have a massive amount.

Pointing out problems to perfect the plan: What if zombies surround the tunnel from both ends. What if infected birds fly into the helicopters. And what if the zombies never starve so their numbers just keep growing, or the infection starts to mutate and make them more powerful and/or intelligent?

Airbourne or not, if we stayed inside, it wouldnt affect us. Also, The only way to get into the fort is through the tunnel or the massive gate. And by massive, I mean a steel frame with steel filling....(x3)
