Two hockey players, Tom and Jerry, each shoot a penalty shot at a goal. Tom has a 1/2 chance of scoring and Jerry as a 2/5 chance of scoring. Assuming independence, what is the probability that at least one of them will score a goal? Thank you!

I'm not sure but i'll try anyway 1 - P( none of them scores ) = 1 - (1/2*3/5) I don't know how to explain this in english, cuz i'm dutch but i've used the complement rule xD It says atleast 1 of them scores, = equal to 1 - none scores
