Well, I heard that ice makes you richer but lightining gives you more exp faster. I've also heard lightining costs a lot of money but ice makes you lvl more slowly, so what should I max or add to first? I do have a lvl 41 cleric with about five mil (i know not much, but I think it's enough to afford pots for lightning attacks) and I make enough money with my cleric so I don't need to go the ice way just for money. Ice, though, has the cool side effect of freezing while lightning doesn't. But I want lightning if I'm gonna do the florina beach quests (and I think it looks cooler)... But anyways, does anyone have any suggestions on a good build if money isn't an issue? Like reason too... not just "Ice cuz it's sick man! >_<" I'm looking ofr maybe a build that will make my future lvling easier or better... Thanx!

xXxFlintxXxfirst..lightning doesnt take a lot of money..and bak to topic..about the build well u should get 1 tele when u get the job adv. and then max out lit.. then get 3 mp eater..that will save u some pots..and then u can max out meditate or ice..or half half..meditate will make ur light stronger BUT..u'll be stuck at the same place for a LONG time..ice will give u new traning areas..but lit will be weak..half half is recommended cuz medi will be useless and same with ice...i recommend going for medi if u wanna lvl up fast=)

Well, ice still has the freeze side effect that is useful for stronger monsters (I like going for more challenges) and freeze I guess would also help you get hurt less (if you're not training mob) and usually mob places are etremely busy, so I don't know if I want to go to places like that, and every day too...>.>

Lightning takes A LOT of money when you train in Florina, I lost 400k getting to 70%. You could always be a hybrid where you max an attack after another. I suggest starting with lightning for hybrid build.

if u wanna kill mobs faster than take lightning but if u wanna kill singles faster than ice...ice is cheaper im a lightning and i use a crapload of pots but i have a cleric funding like 5 accs

Would it be wise to do half and half? like 3 to ice, 3 to lit, 3 to ice, 3 to lit, etc?

Pikachuka7 said: "Would it be wise to do half and half? like 3 to ice, 3 to lit, 3 to ice, 3 to lit, etc?" noo, never maxed two attacks at once, it takes 10 lvls to max one attack so if you do half and half you're attacks wont be all that great until like lvl 50 o.O and it'll just slow your training down -_-' if you want to have fun and can afford the pots i would go with 1 tele, 1 mp eater, then max lit then choose between ice or meditation btw training at florina uses TONS of pots at the beginning. i mean you can save on hp pots and use magic guard but then you'll end up using tons of mp pots which cost more, but without guard you'll be chugging down white pots every few seconds..or you can be like me and go one round, wait for hp and mp to heal, then go another round XD though i think it would be better to go with ice because lit is really weak at the beginning (i think at lvl 1 you're lucky if you can kill a blue snail) plus with ice you can go take on bigger monsters and it can help you in sticky situations (just freeze and run off)...but then again lighting is awesome, you'll love mobs after maxing lit.

I suggest ice Mainly cuz you can go to higher monsters each time you level and simply freeze them Unless you like mobs of monsters--then go for lightning

Ice because when you hit those fire drakes you will get some good drops
Person1015 02/22/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Depends on what lvl u plan to reach. If you're going for high lvl go ice, cauz of the mass of fire mons in El Nath Lava. If ur not planning to get to l70 then max lighting cauz at l40-60 u will lvl crazy fast on crabs. After 3rd job, the lighting spear kinda sucks >.> its way too slow.

I'd say put your first point into teleport, then if youre going with lightning, put 1 point into mp eater. It'll save you a decent amount of mp. Wish I would've though of it when I was first starting out :/ But anyways, the basic rule of thumb is if you want to get to level 40 first, go with ice. If you want to get to level 50 first, go with lightning. Just be aware that if you go with lightning first (which I did), you'll need to rely on claw for awhile before your lightning gets decent. I still use claw almost all of the time, and my lightning's almost maxed (skipped the last 3 points or so & started on ice) Hope this helped ^-^

First off, do lightning. You have money for pots so go on. After you max lightning, do meditaion so lightning does even more damage. Afterwards, mp eater so you can say bye to mp pots. Then, either teleport or ice. It really is a matter of opinion

I max lightning first and I have to admit that it uses alot of pots... but since I am a first timer, I didn't realize the diff until my ice was decent. i agrre with itsjusthen that it is not advisable to even off yr SP b/w ice and light. Actually ice can handle mobs if u train at jr cellion, cos the kitties are close to each other... lorangs because they generate high damage, waste alot of pots when u switch on yr magic guard, moreover, it is not really tat efficient as their hp is relatively high. To be frank, unless I am being ambushed or I am training yr jr grupin (least vulnerable to ice) and crabs, I would prefer to use ice beam as if u train on monsters tat requires only 1 hit to kill, it is relatively fast and not much pots is due to our mp recovery... hope this helps
