MMan222Lmao @ the 2 people above me. If you hate Maple, GET OFF THIS MAPLE SITE ALREADY! You THINK you've "gained your lives back" by quitting, but you're only wasting them further by sticking around Basil. me, I don't have Maple set to any Compatability modes. It runs just fine as is. I haven't tried it after the new Vista SP2 I just installed, though.

Keep UAE on. Even though it's a royal pain in the behind sometimes, it kinda saves idiots from getting viruses and such. You can turn it off, if you want, though. Just don't download anything questionable. I take it you have a decent antivirus? Anyway, keep compatibility mode off. OFF. There is not, and never was, any reason for it to be on. I know what nexon said, but it seems to run a tad, just a tad more smoothly with it off.

i leave UAE on. you cannot play it on compatibility mode, hach shield wont let you lol. I do not do anything special to run maple. i am an admin, but DO NOT run it as an admin.

I run normally. I turned UAC off, it's so annoying.

Guys, yesterday I've bought a new laptop for myself. This is the first time I am running on vista. How teh **** do I turn compability mode off? *edit* Nvm guys, I clicked on the patcher.exe in my folder & maple is actually working now!

Turning UAC is really up to you. The sole purpose of UAC is to warn you if a program wants to run itself in your system. If you don't want any warnings, turn it off. I myself choose to keep it on simply because it doesn't bother me that much.

UAC is only a 30 second wait and 1 more click, if it takes more than 2 minutes though i suggest running anti-viruses ASAP
timmybitty 05/27/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT

runepl8user May 27 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT

runepl8user said: "UAC is only a 30 second wait and 1 more click, if it takes more than 2 minutes though i suggest running anti-viruses ASAP" 30 second wait? O.o UAC should pop-up within 2 seconds... at least that's how long it takes for me.
