Merchanting =/= Scamming

Why do so many people get Merchanting confused with Scamming? I have been merchanting for a little less than a year and have made close to 2b, i do not feel like i have ever scammed anyone. When i offer on something, the other person has the right to refuse the offer, but if they do accept, and are happy with the deal, this is not scamming. I also buy 90% of my items from stores in the FM. These are prices they have set, and i just look for low prices that i could just buy and easily sell for more. This is to show people that you can make money doing this without scamming. yet you leech off the ignorance of little noobs who have NO IDEA what the true market price is, thus doing them a disservice. that's just low man. and don't even try to deny it. if a noob tries to sell you a claw atk scroll for 150k (exaggeration), u'll be crawling all over it. Noobs are HAPPY with 150k. they don't know what it truly costs. i'm a merchant myself...i don't approve of this. But the majority of merchants out there just do not have morals, and continue to do this every single day.

I agree. My question is, how do you find good FM spots? It's much harder than the not-scamming part...

Merchers continue to make themselves richer while the poor little niblet walks away with (insert ripoff here) and think they're on top of the world. Last time I checked... False hope was never any fun. D:

It depends I guess if someone sells you something that is worth a lot for super cheap I don't find that bad.

Merchant is so much different from scamming. Scamming is more like people come after you because you either got the best item they can set their eyes on. Whereas, merchant is like you come to my shop and you can either offer or buy the item *knowingly that the price might be higher than what other people may feel*. I don't ever see a merchantman come to my house and try to sell me a mixed formula that will clean out the rims of my car. But however, I do see scam artists sell fake gold Rolex or water filters' licenses or something that just out of the ordinary every once in a month.
