Yes, but growing up in a world where you fear you wont be allowed to marry the person you love just because of who you are isn't exactly enjoyable. I actually thought about suicide, back in my "ahem" depression thingy, but I realized I wanted to do more with myself. I wanted to make a difference, educate people, be a voice. That's why I choose "The History of Homosexuality" as my history project topic for this semester, I attend protests,etc.

One state not approving it is merely a setback in this whole campaign for legalization, and shouldn't be seen as such a huge deal. Enjoy the victories, recognize the defeats, and continue onward. If real progress is to be made, the public needs proper education on homosexuality, and the proponents for legalized homosexual marriage need to go about spreading their word in the least confrontational and aggressive way possible. So your participation in such events/doing a project on homosexuality are good steps.
