I've seen many threads talking about how immature basil is and how there are no interesting threads. It seems like any thread made is bad or immature or something. Girl thread? Boo. Fun thread? Obvious troll. Music thread? Flame city. So, my question is, what is acceptable? Hm?

Just post whatever you feel like posting that isn't against the rules -_- Stop worrying about flaming or boring people or trolling. Seriously nobody wants to listen to you if you're just trying satisfy other Basilers. THAT makes Basil very uninteresting. And about Music being flame city: Flame is unavoidable >__> I'd flame someone who is afraid of showing what kind of music they like.

An interesting thread would be one that merits a discussion of different aspects from different points of view, a topic that catches people's attentions, not because it's "Hur dur, stupid comment, aren't I clever?" or someone's blog, but because it is something that people have a liking to, be it nostalgia or current trends. Unfortunetely, these topics do come up, but hardly anyone ever really discusses them, as usual, it jus devolves to either flaming, an off topic conversation, or people stroking their own egos when they make the thread all about themselves. It's not threads that need to be interesting, it's the community that lacks originality, creativity, and subtle humor rather "lulz epik chuck norris derp"
