...of the human race, what would you do? I'd probably go to the girl I like and reveal my feelings for her, telling her that as long as I'm here, I'd be there for her. Also, what would the world be like with only 1 person male/female and the rest opposite?

the human race wouldn't suffer too badly, because birth rates could still be like one new baby every 20 or so minutes if there were just one male (that male doing a different female every time that he can)v. If there were just one female though, the birthrate would be a maximum of one new baby every 9 months. the human population would suffer badly in that case. That and males can be involved in reproduction for the rest of their lives, women only have a 40 year window or so before they physically cannot reproduce. So technically speaking having only one male left would not be entirely catastrophic, while having only one female could mean the end of the human race.
