"Good" Problem with the family system?

I am in a family, and three of my other friends are my juniors. It is only us four in the family yet when we Click on the family tree thing it says we have 6,889 family members? Having 6,889 family members has allowed me to get that Medal that gives you +2 stats and a banner below you that reads "Leader of a big family medal". So I guess it's not too bad. Anyone else have this "problem"? I guess its a glitch? *Edit I only have two juniors and one of them has a junior. (just to clear that up lol)
