Have u ever been mass defamed?

One of my good friends irl has been getting defamed everytime he logs on. It started in the fm, yesterday, and then in Vic, today. It's always a low level, guildless character, and they always defame and then log out. My friend has NO idea why someone would do this. He just reached his first 3rd job on this character, and now, i'm worried he'll get discouraged and stop playing maple. Last year, another friend of mine logged in, was in Kerning for 1 minute, and was defamed 5 times. For no reason. He doesn't even play now. Why do people do this? It's like random acts of meanness, instead of kindness. What kind of person defames random people for fun? It makes me sad. Has this ever happened to you? What did you do about it?

maybe ur friend did something that offended some other person as a result they got pissed off over the internet well... i;ve been mass defamed 2x times by my friend as a joke when i afked

why would someone get discouraged & stop playing maple over fame? It's like easy to gather new ones. You could easily get about a 100 fame by just asking people around. :O

i use to get mass defamed, but then i stopped purposely massing. i usually only mass fame my friends when they havelow fames. i dont get those people too, why randomly defame when u can randomly fame?

ppl do this either cause ur high lvled or refused to do something, e.g i was riding my hog in kerning for fun and then this nub traded me and said "yo *** gimme all ur meso or ill mass defame u." So i just said PISS OFF he went oh u little *******. THen he used homophone and said that i scammed him. f5

Who cares about fame... It doesn't matter, people are just dicks sometimes. No point in getting worked up about it.

He's the nicest guy, and never rude to anyone on maple. I guess he could have offended someone, but he doesn't remember offending anyone. It seems more random. I personally don't care about fame. And, I will fame him on all my characters, and ask my friends and guilds to fame him after a couple days, when this person stops. But, it seems like he was just standing in fm3, and someone thought it would be "fun" to randomly mass defame someone, and he just happened to be there. It's not so much about the fame to me, just the way people hurt people for fun. So, yeah. And I love to randomly fame people. It's like zapping them with a smile.

reminds me of a time i had a defame war. person ended up with -257 fame and i had -78 XD and i go around faming randoms i hope your friend is alright =D (the war started when i famed him and he said that he liked having the fame he has which was like 2X or something so he defamed me)

Fame is meaningless (unless you wear "dark" equips) So (since retaliation is a no-no) you hafta grin and bear it.

It's because there are people THAT...mean spirited to just do it for fun. Why would you wanna play a game where people get kicks out of being mean?

1) fame is for noobs (and attention vvh()r3s) 2) fame is for dark overall, which is useless 3) and yes, i recently got mass defamed 10 times. the guy said i defamed him somewhere, but i don't remember. and so, i don't care cuz' i told him you can come defame me anytime while i'm training..=)

Next thing i know: Philipd122 is dropping all his stuff and giving nx cards to the first 5 people he trades. Next thing i know, i was running for my life from 10 different noobs. They all mass defamed me T_T and i think reported me for scamming O_o *SERIOUS*
