At the moment I have a bad "frame rate" (is that what you call it? Where it doesnt run smoothly) on maple. It doesnt lag, but it doesnt play smoothly. How can I upgrade to get rid of this? I would give you my specs, but I have no idea how to get them... I am not computer-smart really How can I figure out my specs to tell you guys? ty

If you're having frame rate issues, then either 1) close any other programs that are running, or 2) upgrade your RAM. Are you on a laptop or a desktop? It's not that hard to check on either, although desktops are easier to deal with.

But on my desktop which is also Vista with 3 GB of RAM I have to play in the lowest detail to not have a bad framerate, and I play with no programs

its not your ram then. prolly processor i would think. graphics card shouldnt be a problem since maple is only 2d.

The frames are called FPS (Frames per second) and for that you probably need new RAM. The specs....idk my bro just does that for me =x

You could also try going to System options on the menu and switching like the quality and stuff to low.

i doubt he needs new RAM at all, maybe its ur internet connection, is it the same as ur laptop.

hard explaination to simple, its not your internet, internet effect lag which you move but nothing around you is. Graphic card, affects your FPS no matter how good of an internet you have. fix? easy, update driver for your graphic, overclock, or buy a new graphic card. (note: i have a GeForce 7000m and i have 10-20 fps which really suck, meanwhile on my 5 year old computer that came with window 98 and some crap manufacture items have 20-30 fps and runs smoother then my laptop)

I am not computer-smart really How can I figure out my specs to tell you guys? ty" To acquire you system specs in Vista follow these steps: 1- Click start 2- Go to Control Panel 3- Go to System OR 1- Click Start 2- Right click "Computer" and click properties. To know what graphic card your computer uses follow these steps: 1- Go to RUN (hold the windows sign on your keyboard + R) 2- Type "dxdiag" 3- In the window that pops up, go to Display Please follow these steps and copy&paste your processor and graphic card. (I think it may have to do with your processor since 3GB RAM is MORE than enough to run MS)

I was thinking along the same lines when i read the title xD. It's either your internet, graphics card, or most likely your RAM

My internet is the same for my laptop and desktop. Laptop runs maple great no problems, desktop does not they both have 3 GB of ram, I am 90% sure that it has nothing to do with the internet or the RAM o.O But I still don't know how to tell what video card I have >.< I went dxdiag and went to display but where does it say what video card you have?

Under Display Name: [your video card should be here] Also, tell us what processor you have. IF the problem is not the specs of your system, then my next guess would be that it's infected with malware that slow it down.

check ur pc's drivers or ur internet seed check ur pc for virus r malware keep ur processers running as low as possible
