NeverGoesSo it's my birthday new week, and i'm 99% sure my dad's got me a netbook. Will maple be able to run on a 1.60GHz intel atom processor, with 1 GB of ram?

does it even have enough space for maple?

Vista or not? If it has Vista, then probably not. The OS alone takes up 1 GB of RAM. You could try ReadyBoost, which takes memory from a flash drive and turns it into usable RAM for your computer. Hope you got XP.

NeverGoesWell, the one i'm hoping for has a 10.1" screen, 120GB hard drive, and runs Windows XP.

I have a Fujitsu Siemens Netbook and it works fine

That's pretty good. If you get that, then it definitely will run Maple. I used to run Maple on a 512MB RAM computer with a 20GB hard drive, and ran Windows XP. It ran with little lag.

Its not exactly RAM. its Virtual memory, it duznt really work that well because its not actual RAM. I have it myself, It DOES HELP but only get it if u have some extra flash drives lying around, dont bother buying flash drives just to get ram.
