I have a Dell Dimension 4100 link I've been playing MapleStory for many years - 4 and a half to be exact ;3 My computer has never had a decent 2-3 hour power off session. I'm kind of concerned. My tower doesn't overheat, and the fan hasn't melted (it's metal). I've had friends of mine had their fans melted, or jamming - and their models are recent. I always have my tower on. 24/7 not even joking I play 6-18 hours a day, depending what day it is, and I have the shop open all night. The computer is always on, even when I'm not mapling. Is this abnormal, for constantly being on and not being warm? o.o

Your lucky I guess. A crappy fan wouldve stopped working resulting in a shut down. Just to be safe, maybe you should get a new heatsink and fan. Btw your computer looks funny xD.

I leave my computer on just as much as you do, and usually under 100% cpu and gpu usage, and it gets extremely hot (90C ranges), and yet it still keeps chugging. You'll be fine as long as temps don't reach boiling, and there's no dust.

I was wondering if it was hot because the fan stopped working. -Touches- and burnt my finger. o-o I saw some videos of AMD Athlon XP's blowing up if the heatsink was taken off and got scared so I decided to get a new computer. Intel Ftw? xD

It's from the 2000, it charged me around $1200~$1500 bucks and it was 256MB ram (and that was a steal back in the day) . It's 512 MB ram atm. And I don't need to worry about it overheating, it's never warm o.o Just concerned why it's not overheating like the crap modern ones

The modern ones nower days come with Quad Cores and that, they tend to use more power and heat up more.
