1GB RAM Vs. 2GB RAM?

I deleted everything that was here before because I think i have a bigger problem now and alot of people have been helpful in this thread so heres the problem : I rebooted my Desktop and started Maplestory...but maplestory is flashing and parts are green and all glitchy (Only happens in maplestory), a girl does a smega that shows up on my screen and the picture of her and her smega starts flashing with some green stuff...and then i was in the FM and someone did a high level skill and my screen froze...and went black and i got this message "The nv4_disp display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore the machine a dialog will be displayed gibing you a chance to upl;oad data about this failure to Micro$oft"

My vista laptop is 512mb RAM and runs fine.

I used to work with 1gb Vista, no lag in maple or anything, BUT, I started computer programming, gfx, movie editing, etc. So I needed my computer to be able to handle more memory usage (compiling, rendering images, rendering movie clips) while I could still use my computer regularly.

Pentium sucks balls. That's why. Vista runs fine with 1 GB. 2 Gb is for optimum performance. 3 Gb is overkill.
