The reason why Corsairs are underplayed.

Unlike other classes, corsairs are underestimated and labeled as a weak and boring class. Unlike Buccaneers, Cosairs start out weak as a Slinger and grows into a powerful and fast class as an outlaw. Many people underestimate the usefulness of Gunslingers. Many skills such as Blank shot or Invisible shot are extremely useful until 3rd job where they can train at godly spots. For example, invisible shots are used on Slimys in Singapore where else Blank shot stuns Elder Wraths to get past them to train at Windraiders which is another godly spot for training. Its true that double shot is one of the weakest skill in maplestory. However, its speed and damage is useful. Around lv 50-60, it deals around 2k per shot but its half the speed of Lucky 7. In total it would do around 3-4k per shot. But double shot isnt as used as a main attack skill. Other skills like invisible shot are also crucial to a succssful kill. Besides that, Outlaws are often compared to other classes. On the other hand, outlaws deal tons of damage and more than a hermit on an average basis. With maxed burst fire, around 10-11k are dealt which is more than the damage a hermit can do. Ice Splitter is also very very useful because it freezes monsters and allows you to save pots without being attacked. Flamethrower is also another unique and useful skill. It causes monsters to be burned durign a limited time. Octupus and the bird grenade skill is also very useful because they can attack for you while you use other skills. On the other hand, corsairs are often degraded by popular classes. Boss runs do not seem to have Corsairs. Corsairs are pretty much one of the best damage dealing jobs. With a boosted up cooldown time and longer hp, a battleship for Corsair is very powerful and needed for any corsairs to deal the most damage at the fastest time. Though corsairs may not be as mobile as a NL or hp wise as a Warrior or mob as fast as a Bishop, Corsairs are unique and powerful due to their unique mob skills, battle ship, speed and their ability to use different attacks while in a different mode. This isn't all reasons that makes Corsairs one of the best classes but in overall, Corsairs own and will never be off my list as an attempt to reach the last final job.

I htink in general pirates are underplayed, or atleast people quit them because of the hard start for both brawlers and slingers. Brawlers having the acc problme (ends at around 4x) and Slingers and their damage. I say this because I'm only lvl 50 on my brawler and i'm already in the top 17k on the pirate rankings.

In reality, maple is filled with a bunch of kids who want to do high damage right away (thus the mass increase of brawlers) I'm doing pretty average damage right now, but then again my Lunar Shooter is scrolled with 49 ATT and 2 ACC.
