Just got back from Terminator Salvation

I saw the midnight showing with some friends. I thought it was pretty great, despite the rather low score it currently holds on Rotten Tomatoes. There's not much of a narrative, but if you're already down with the plot of the Terminator series, you know what's up. Arnold makes a brief (and funny) cameo. In short, great action movie, but don't go into it expecting a lot of plot/backstory like the other ones had.

I went to see how full the theatre was for the midnight show, there was at least 200 people in it. I work tomorrow. I'm NOT happy >.>

I don't like Christian Bale. Sitting through 3 hours of him gasping for air while talking (?) annoyed me.

A war against the machines. That is the premise of the movie, so I wasn't really expecting much else. Apparently critics were bawwing about that though.

Fans don't just like Terminator for being an action flick; it's also about all the dread, the sci-fi intricacies, and all the "themes". Action flicks are cool, and it makes sense for this to be centered on action (it is a war, after all), but Terminator is about much more.
