It seems the average intelligence of maplers has gone down dramatically since I began playing 3 years ago. In just 30 minutes, I had two experiences which made me feel...curious. So what the hell has been going on? First experience: I just told my guild about the fact that I possessed 828 sunshines (and counting). So my guildie said,"Wow, they NPC for 100 each! So that's...uh...what's 828 x 100?" Such as easy math equation, yet he was unable to calculate it! Just add 2 freaking zeros! Second experience: My buddy gached an Ele Wand 6 on his first tick at NLC. So we were talking through guild, and he was asking others if he should accept this offer of 605m. The guild leader's brother decides to tell us to shut up and that nobody cares. I tell him I care (yadda yadda), and we ignore it. We go on a bit, and he tells us to shut up again, but this time, he spazzes and tells us that we're being annoying, pretty much spamming the guild chat, covering us(mmm hypocrite), and I tell my buddy that we should talk in buddy chat to shut him up. Somehow, his level of literacy tells him that we're telling him to talk in buddy chat and telling him to shut the hell up. He ends up kicking me in a bloody rage, and I whisper him and annoy him (a skill I got from Conquer Online), but eventually am forced to stop since he disables his whispers. The last sentence he says is, "That's for telling me to shut up and talk in buddy." Could it POSSIBLY be that maple is also causing developing minds to be illiterate? It definitely seems so! ~houshinka7 /end rant?
