I'm growing weary of these ridiculous threads about how greedy and evil Nexon is. As a form of anger ventilation and educating the masses, I've decided to post this thread, for all you spoiled rotten children who whine about how evil Nexon is with it's lust for money. Basically, my point lies in these FACTS: • One. Nexon is a company. It is not a companies goal to entertain you, it is to make money so that people can have jobs and support their families. • Two. Nexon is a game company. Games take resources, including dataspace, server cost, human interaction(programming, designing, ect), and other things. These things cost money. • Three. The more resources used, the higher the potential of a good product. Likewise, the more resources used, the more money is spent. • Four. The more money spent, the less money the company has to make improvements. After paychecks, supplies, bills, taxes, new resources, new tools, and advertisements, the company would need to find a way to make this money back. • Five. Companies make products. Products are either handed out, or trade for currency. Nexon chooses to 'hand out' their product. • Six. Products which are handed out usually have two variations to them, a 'basic' free package, and a 'premium' package which allows you to give the creators a denomination of currency in exchange for bonus features. • Seven. Products and premium features are given a set value by the creator. This value is what they see as a fair price that nets them a profit. This allows them to improve their services in the future. • Eight. The company will often observe the interests and wishes of the user in order to improve the product. With this, they will find a way to give these users their wish, in exchange for new premium features. The too long; didn't read version of this would be: Nexon is a company. Companies give jobs. Jobs require money. Money is received from the companies products. Of course humans are naturally greedy, but think of this: You become angry when Nexon releases something like the Meso bags, calling them greedy, but at the same time, demand that patches and server checks only last a few hours, and that certain features are made available. You are making yourselves no better than the 'evil company' you hate, and this hypocrisy is one of the things I hate about my own country. In closing, the next time you are going to whine and complain about how greedy Nexon is, remember this thread, and how you would have done the exact same thing if you were the CEO of that company. EDIT: So some of you say that If I have the right to explain, you have the right to complain. I never said you didn't. My thread is informing you of your hypocrisy, your idiocy, and your rash hatred. You have every right to complain, even though the ignorant ones don't deserve the right. Even though, however, you have this right, you shouldn't just rant and rave about the subject. You should do like me, and post well thought out and supported reasons

Basically all you are stating is that Nexon is a company. Way before prepaid cards, Nexon or was it Wizet were perfectly capable of running maplestory without having the need to make everything nexon cash, when it came to benefiting a player. That goes to show that Nexon could run without as much money circulating into their pocket, but they are to greedy.

I HATE PEOPLE LIEK THAT!" so hes trying to get the poitn across in a different way, and a simple way for all those morons who just dont get it. @ Sundaybest: Its really obvious that as nexon/wizet grew it needed a larger database which required more money, so they needed a different way to make money, Which resulted in nexon cash. If we were to take NX away nexon would slowly but surely die out. The game grew so did the databse. More players interested = more money needed to maintain the game.

If you ban a completely innocent person, they get mad and they get another Nexon hater. Screenshots are easily photoshopped, so if you had a grudge on someone, you could go on... say on a PS and make a character with their name and same clothes and SS them "Hacking". Nexon is trying their best.
