using a 360 controller to play maple?

i've heard plenty of people talking about doing this. i went through all the trouble to buy one off my friend for 20 bucks, an investment i can get returned if i have to, but the thing is i spent an hour trying to find the correct drivers for xp service pack 3. now, how do i set the buttons to their functions? all the windows options allow me to do is troubleshoot and calibrate the controller. i know there is no controller option INSIDE maplestory, so i want to know if there is some alterior way i can set the controller to work with maple? [ie: a button = alt/jump, rt = shift/attack] so forth. please help.

you can not since there will be a overflow of buttons.

not 360, ps3 i use a ps3 controller to play maple some times cause its fun...its mostly only works with ps3 cause of the USB port in the controller

well the 360 is usb. what is joy2key? also; i'm not worried about typing or such, i just want to set my pots +attacks + jumps to buttons for hxc windraider grinding.

Get Xpadder (google it) I use it to play MS with my ps3 controller.

Yea wired 360 controllers work great, I got a Ps2 one I use for maple my self. joy2key ftw

i tried using my 360 controller but i couldnt so i used my psp as a controller worked great!

i'd recommended using a PS3 controller. I have played maple once with the PS3 controller and its not all that bad but the 360 controller completely different story never tried it since all my 360 controllers are wireless lol
