When to start Gobying?

I'm wondering this as I was having a little bit of fun killing Goby's (just waiting for my zhelm) and my exp gain wasn't actually that bad. What are the requirements for Goby? recommendations? level? BTW, I'm level 75 with 8 on AR. I don't know why, but it is strangely satisfying to use AR on Gobies. I'm starting to get a little bored of Windraiders aswell.

Around 80-85, when both AR and Strafe are at a decent level. Level 10 and below AR isn't recommended.

People recommend going later than I did, but I went at 82 with like 20 Strafe and 7 AE or something like that. Generally the advice is 20 strafe 21 AR/E and 1 bliz or 9 puppet, but I think that AR/E rec is too high. As soon as you can 100% kb them and have a strong strafe you'll get good % there.

I had no trouble doing that bu the bonefish worry me alot, would hawk be a good asset in Goby to stun the Bonefish and the houses?

I think the bare minimum is 20 Strafe, 11 AR/E, 6 Puppet. I'd level your attacks before you get Hawk, I find Hawk interfering with my luring and sinking Gobies a lot, so I don't use it when Gobying.

A good amount of puppet is good as well, since hawk doesn't stun very reliably until level 15-20+ all you really need is a good amount of strafe (to kill houses and bonefish) and enough hp to take a hit (idk what the needed hp is, I never really trained there)

Most people don't like hawk at gobies, since it will attack things you don't want it hitting, aggroing them. If you're an AR build, then yeah you can probably do the right AR damage, but you need enough strafe to take down the houses and bone fish quickly. I don't know how the new att %s compare to the old ones, but I figure at least 15 strafe would be recommended too? Once you get 21 AR puppet is unnecessary if you learn how to time attacking right.

i went to gobies once i had 21 strafe,1 bliz and 9 puppet lol. i used iron arrow instead since i didnt have ae and i still got a good 29.4%/h at level 80...then when i had ae to a level where it is stronger than iron arrow i got 34%/h which was around level 86ish i think...and i stayed there until level 95 cuz it was so fun lol.

Thanks for that but now the new Strafe adds 71% damage at level 1 and i do alright damage with it, + each level is only 1% increase, so i was thinking: (Level) 76:+3 AR (Level 11) 77:+3 AR (Level 14) 78:+3 AR (level 17) 79:+3 AR (Level 20) 80:+1 AR (level 21), +2 Puppet (Level 3) 81:+3 Puppet (level 6) 82:+3 Hawk (Level 3) 83:+3 Hawk (level 6) 84:+3 Hawk (level 9) 85:+3 Hawk (level 12) 86:+3 Hawk (Level 15) 87:+1 Hawk (Level 16, 90% stun) 88:+3 AR (Level 24) 89:+3 AR (Level 27) 90:+3 AR (Level 30, Maxed) Final skills: Max AR 6 Puppet 16 Hawk 1 Strafe 1 Inferno 5 MB Explanation: I want the AR maxed for, well, max damage. I want hawk for extra stun (for houses and bonefish) and 6 puppet for timer increase. would this be a good build?

Here is how i kill... 1. puppet (at least lvl 6) in front of the goby house 2. spam strafe til the house explodes 3. use inferno once as soon as gobies come out. 4. spam arrow rain xD This may not be the most effective method as i've never seen any other archers kill goby ._."

At level 85, that is when you have sufficient amount of points in both Strafe and Arrow Rain so you can deal with the Bone Fish, Houses, and Gobies efficiently.
