so i play/live in the united states where there is one major language. however, maple europe has multiple countries and many languages. So what is the main one used like in the fm and stuff?

Depends on the channel. Each channel has a different language, so of course the main language for each channel would be different. Like Ch. 1 and 2 are English, 3 and 4 are French...

ch1,2,3 are called Europe 1 2 and 3 - english is the main language here, but you always see polish, swedish, etc. talk too - also Eu1 is where almost all the FM activity takes place, but expect lots of people speaking very very basic english, or almost none at all - you can access the Eu channels from any language setting. The other channels you can access depend on the language you use MS (we have a Change Language option to choose from the 5 languages with restarting the game - English, German, Dutch, Spanish and French). There are 3 english channels - Eng 1 2 and 3, and 2 of the other languages - German 1, 2, Spanish 1, 2 and so on... These are way less crowded, and sometimes are used for getting a training spot or getting in a PQ - because majority of the people use english or german in the game, a party organiser sometimes asks others to "CL french" - so everyone changes to french, restarts Maple, and use Fr1 or Fr2 channels to get in a PQ. This makes it a bit harder for non-french/spanish etc. people to understand what some items are (mostly scrolls, you wait until end of PQs to change back to english to find out what kind of scrolls did you get )

Dutch. Just kidding, even though it's a benefit knowing several of the European languages, you'll be fine with just knowing English.

French is my first language but i do speak english >.> (Dutch and spanish too) There's also a bunch of french people who can speak english, most of us learn it at school btw (You can choose between dutch or english when you're 8 years old, even if we choose dutch as our first other language we will have to learn english 2 years later) My english isn't that good i know ... but you can still understand what i'm saying. In other words : In most case we do speak english. If you've met french ppl who can't speak it , either they're retarded or their school sucks. (Or they're 10 years old)

Oh i'm from belgium yeah but in france it's almost the same thing (exept they have more possibility like german ,spanish, etc...)
