Scientists say the fossil shows how humans evolved from ancient primates. More detail about Darwinius Masillae.

Yeah, that's true, but we can be hopeful to even find the earliest of all organisms. This one is special for two reasons, it's 95% contact, you can even see what its last meal was, and that it's one of the earliest links to us.

I actually read about this and was gonna make a thread. Looks like someone beat me to it. This is really a good discovery. Maybe Ida will get us one step closer to see what our ancestors were, making the Theory of Evolution ALOT stronger than it was before

But I mean, on what basis are they calling it a primate? It appears to simply be a protomammal of some sort, or at least a very early mammal that was only slightly derived, in an evolutionary sense, from the small protomammals that have been around since at least the time of the K/T extinction.

Look at the head, and compare it to a modern primate, it looks almost the same.
