Ok, the order I put them down is the order I'm doing it. 1)5 Avenger 2)1 Flash Jump 3)Max Shadow Partner 4)21 Avenger 5)Max Alchemist 6)Max Flash Jump 7)Max Avenger 8)Max Meso Up 9)Max Dark Sight 10)Max Shadow Web 11)1 Shadow Meso So in the end: Max Shadow Partner Max Avenger Max Alchemist Max Meso Up Max Dark Sight (2nd job skill) Max Shadow Web Max Flash Jump 1 Shadow Meso Is this a good 3rd job build?

you shouldn't get 1 shadow meso, instead either do max web and 19 booster or 19 web and max booster

I mean he probably never used Shadow Mesos and Shadow Web anyways, so he could leave those skill lower than it actually is. But yeah, I would also go back to max Drain or Booster, if you haven't yet. I still wouldn't max Avenger before Alchemist and Flash Jump. Just add enough of them at where you train, and once you done that, max out Avenger.

Drain is completely useless once monsters start hitting more than 50% of your HP. I mean if you really tryed hard, you could survive off Drain at newties, night shadows, etc etc. but you would be using drain more often than lucky 7/triple throw which would INSANELY decrease your training speed. right now im wishing i had never even bothered to get drain, i rarely ever used it from lvl 50-80, and i have yet to use it since, total waste of points imo. I should of maxed dark sight in 2nd job instead, would of given me something fun to play with. Drain is a personal skill, if you dont find yourself using it, DO NOT GET IT. Regardless of what some "know it all" says about you HAVING to follow a certain build. Only get Drain if you actually enjoy using it and will use it, other wise its a truck load of points you could of maxed dark sight with, or other things. edit* at OP, i would recomend you do your build based on where you are going to be training. for example, people hermits who trained in ludi when that was the hotspot quite often got max FJ after SP because it helped you move around the map better which was what was needing in an MDT/DT party

Too bad you can't really experience the power of drain until you pump it past Lv. 20 or so. The only perk is saving potions, which in turn saves you USE slots which can let you store more things in your inventory. You are correct though: It does slows down training at times. You're really just deciding between inventory space (and spending a little more on potions) and faster training. I'd personally choose the first one just because I'm that kind of person.

I mean we going to have soooooo many points from those skill alone at the end of 3rd job, might as well put it into something even if it doesn't seem useful right? Also, you said you regretted to get Drain. If you were to go back, what would you have max instead? Endure? That skill isn't helpful at all. Dark Sight? You can max out DS as well in 3rd job, so even if you max in your 2nd job, you will have even more points left over in which you can put points into Drain. I honestly can't see why you said going back to max it is the dumbest thing you ever seen, because you are able to get every skill you are going to used max anyways. Yes, you may probably won't used it as much anymore at higher levels, but it still more useful then having SM/SW max, IMO.
