Zak runtime error? HT+Vista?

Okay basil, so here are my two issues: 1) For some reason, after the most recent patch, I can't make it past Zakum's 3rd body without getting a runtime C++ error. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, is there a resolution to this problem? 2) I am running on Vista, and I recently got an HT invite. However, I have heard that Vista can pose issues when trying to fight HT. I consulted with someone in game, and they told me to change the compatability of my maplestory.exe. So I did as he bid me do, and I changed the compatability mode to "Windows XP (Service pack 2)." But, when I restarted MS, it gave me an error which said "Hackshield Initialization error (4) Error occurs when the game cilent is executed in the Compatability Mode provided by Windows XP. Game execution in Compatability Mode is judged as a user with ill intentions, so program must be ended and restarted. (Value = 0x004)." Does anyone else know how to get by this? Or perhaps there is some other way for me to HT with vista. Thanks to all.

i play with vista and i been doing horntail since it first came out. you will dc unless you tab out alot and change graphics alot at 1st pre head you should tab out once your inside, then drop your graphics to minimum. when it dies, tab out and raise your graphics to max. at 2nd pre head once you enter tab out then drop your graphics, when it dies tab out again and raise your graphics. when you get to the body you should tab out, then right when it gets summoned you drop your graphics. when you kill all of the right side then go to the left head you should raise your graphics again, then once your at the last arm you drop your graphics and tab out once more and you should be ok. lol its very annoying i know but i did at least 100 horntail runs this way without dcing. Good Luckk

I play on Vista, and it works fine for zakum runs (with graphics on max). What is the precise run time error you are receiving? For the 2nd problem, just don't use compatibility mode it works fine for me.

With Vista at zak so you dont dc you should do the run with your graphics on low then once you get to mid 2nd body you raise your graphics. when i do HT or zak sometimes when the run is over when i tab out i notice that my background has gone blank. when you change graphics or tab out alot during boss runs the background doesnt change. ive done double horntail and zak runs one after an other and didnt dc, you should have no problem if you do it right.

Okay, so I understand that I should alt+tab out a lot, but what is the importance of increasing and decreasing my graphics? @ kleptophobia: I never got the chance to pinpoint the exact runtime error, because my maplestory screen went blank, and I couldn't go back in. Then, I just opened the task manager, and it said that Maplestory was not-responding, and I couldn't double click on the run time error. So I just ended the Maplestory program.

I got the same thing. I believe its like a C++ runtime error.
