Why so many other classes?

So I made a thread about end game weapons for low-luk mages and I had more responses from sins than I did from mages, and those responses were clearly awful (ie: restart your character, I don't know, buy some random equip). I repeat my question, would a 51 luk capped mage have a end game weapon and what would that weapon be? Additionally, I'm curious to see how many other classes are mucking around in here.

Seriously the random weapon idea is the greatest... That's what i'd do... But i'm lukless and i enjoy using random crap.

You should try to get a doomsday staff with that, but the really best would just be an ele wand/staff. And I DO have a mage ^^, If level34 IL counts. xD
