Zakum, What Services to cancel

I was told that by turning off services from the system configuration utility on my computer it would decrease Lag in zakum and maple in general. How do I know which ones to turn off and which to keep on, and would turning them all off mess someting up.

What are the specs on your computer? Theres a chance you wont lag anyways.

Trust me, I do lag. I dced on the last 2 16 man runs i went on. But not on the one i went with my buddies, like 8 people. ill get specs in a second Intel(R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.40 GHZ 2.39 GHZ 512 RAM 13/43GB on HD

its your ram you need minimum of about 1 gig ram. If your on vista than you need minimum of at least 2 gig cause vista requires like 750 ram just to operate.

no, i got 2 gig ram on a vista but i still lag a lil when mages use ultimes or bishops use genesis. If you don't wnna lag on vista, all you need is a new computer + something better than dsl. If it's an older comp with vista (or a computer that you bought when vista just came out like mine), upgrade your ram to 3 gigs and replace your video card + something better than dsl

Things you can do to decrease lag: -Turn of everything else that you arent using (msn, itunes, internet browser) -Set your maple graphics on low -ask people in your run not to use ultimates (they shouldnt be used anyways) -turn of explorer.exe by clicking ctrl+alt+delete>proccesses>click explorer.exe and press end task. when done press ctrl+alt+delete>applications>new task and type in explorer.exe -defrag ram and hard drive -get more ram
