Suggestions about that New trade/chat hack.

Sorry about double-posting but poll didnt appear. Ive read those threads about that hack thing, that you can get hacked just by someone that suddenly trades/chat invite you. Around 50% of people says its impossible, in the other hand theres around 30% people that assumes that is possible with highly skilled hackers and around 20% of people says that they have been hacked alredy after a d/c after acepting a trade. Today I got suddenly a buddy request from someone that I dont even know (that was before knewing a bull about this), but still I declined, when I declined the buddy request instantly apeared around 3 request more from the same guy (declined them all) he kept requesting me till I acepted, then he invited me to a chat but I declined cause I was grinding. This is staring to be confusing and frustasting, and even more after reading that cause of that requests today. So I would like some of your suggestions about this.

It's near impossible, When chatting or trading with another person. The server is only sending some of your data to the other person. None of this is your ID/Pass. Your ID/Pass are sent once to the server, when you type them into maple at the login screen. Even then the packet sent is very well encrypted becuase the database uses encrypted passwords. I guess the only way someone to get your password is to packet edit their way into the database, get your encrypted password, and decrypt it. The database uses very advance encrypting methods. So it would take a skilled hacker to figure your password out.

Thus making me have to reformat my harddrive looking for a keylogger that I don't know is there. Anyways, the possibility of packet editing chat hacks and blah blah blah, cannot be confirmed whether it is positive or not; as none of you can/have try/tried it. Anybody who knows some coding, and maybe just anybody knows that it's impossible; but hey. Anything is possible, this is the world of computers where a 1kb .bin file can destroy the boot files on a computer, etc. So before we start a flame war of epic proportions, think of both sides of the predicament and use what available evidence to support your hypothesis, or neglect another persons'.

@mrme40: You know that the guy you were talking to may have been lying? Sure you got hacked but how do you really know he put spies in your bl and guild? More importantly what would be the point of doing that? That entire conversation just seems like he wants to make you think he performed some impossibly perfect meanwhile he probably just hit you with a keylogger and nothing else. If the guy really was as good as he said he was he would have just hacked you and moved on otherwise he would be well known meanwhile he isn't. He's probably just some low life idiot hacker trying to freak you out to sound cool.

Run your mouse over the level display in the bottom left corner of the screen and you will see part of your ID. The hackers may well be able to use this to find your ID.
