A lot of people are being account hacked, thanks to the new faulty HS, this already happened in EMS a while back, it was about time before it expanded in GMS even tough this was possible before, aparently now it's easier, or it got posted on some hacking forum and went boom boom boom boom I want you in my ro... back to the topic, don't wanna get hacked? Easy Just follow this recomendations: Don't open trades/chats from buddies who are acting strangre or from strangers. *they can be hacked and then try to hack you If married, try to not use this chat, it's like a whisper. Keep whispers off. Block everyone off your instant messenger lis who also plays MS *they can be hacked and then hack you And hope they don't hack you thru normal/buddy/guild/alliance chat If there is a lot of spam in someones chat they will have a hard time figuring out your IP address and it will be harder for them to hack you. Also if you are in a map completly alone, and someone goes in and says Hi, and you say Hi back, he can hackyou right there. Call me paranoid, but I think the right thing to say is Nexon just keeps messing up. Edit: Belive me, if you want if you don't want to, then google and research this stuff, before saying it's ridicoulous. Being on a whisper with someone, allows a direct transfer of data between 2 computers, MS being the host, Whisper/Chat/Trade/Spouse chat are the easiest ways someone can hack you. Pshhhhhhh

There is no chat hack, all that crap is made up by paranoid people and it doesn't even make any sense in a technical standpoint. No information about your account is being relayed through the server when you just chat. If this was true then Nexon fails at writing packets.

I'm not to sure I believe this :P (Not saying YOU are a lier, but there has been a lot of hype over this chat log hack) But I can't imagine how being whispered would get you hacked.. ^^;

I don't see how whispers can affect this. To be on the safe side though, turn everything off except Whispers, Friend Chat, and Guild Chat.

My boyfriend got hacked a few days ago. 900m stuff gone. I guess you can try making a "safe" account that nobody knows about and transfer all your stuff over?

Some do, some are bypass-able, some tell you your PC is being invaded, but since most people give permission for MS to play without the antivirus/firewall blocking it from transfering data sometimes the antivirus doesn't know if someone is invading your pc through MS, but if your antivirus does detect it, it will tell you, and saves the IP you got hacked through you can sue the person, and send an e-mail to nexon and they can sue them with that proof, double sue, and the person pays a hefty ammount of money, in some palces even go to jail.

Enough of the BS. People use this as an excuse for when they've been scammed. Unless you can give us real proof of getting hacked that way, this is full of bull.

This post is totally wrong. If you don't know what you're talking about, i'd advise you to not just make up random stuff up because you can really confuse other people.
