thing on my mouse isnt working i can click it to make the circle w/ arrows on it appear but i cant just scroll and solutions? if it matters the mouse i use is called creative, its an optic again if it matters ty for any help

Check for driver updates. Automatically: Device Manager > Mouse > Update Driver Manually: Go to the manufacturer's website and download the newest driver update for your specific type of mouse. @above: that too

where can i find the device manager? O.o i went to My Computer am i at least a little bit right? O.o

You will then see Device Manager listed among the other options. What you can do is try using a different mouse and if that fixes it, the problem lies with the mouse itself. If that doesn't fix it, boot into safe mode and see if it works there. To get into safe mode, reboot the computer and rapidly press F8 while starting up until a menu appears and then select safe mode. Don't worry if everything looks funny and squished, it will be fixed after you reboot. Inside of Safe Mode you can also open the Device Manager and find the Mouse device listed, right click on it and select uninstall. Power off the machine and when you boot back into normal Windows, it should automatically re-install the device driver. If scrolling still doesn't work, you may need to find a driver for that specific mouse. Go to Google and type in the name of your mouse and model number (may say on it or in the box) with the word driver beside it. The mouse may have also came with a driver disc but I doubt it. To install the driver, just download the file and run it.
