My whole life, I knew my mom opposed homosexuals. But never, ever, knew her exact views about em. Well, today was my lucky day. -_- She was watching an Oprah rerun. The episode with the gay couple who adopted 9 or so kids. I don't know the story. This is how the conversation went: *Going to the table to make myself a drink* Mom: Ugh. Unbelievable. Yuk. Me: Whats Oprah doing this time? Mom: Did you see these gays? They adopted 8 children! Me: It's 9. Mom: Can't believe them. This is so filthy. Me: What's wrong with adopting? Mom: No, no adopting is fine. But you actually think gays adopt because they want to? Hah! They do that to give them AIDS Me: Wh- Mom: ... And molest them day and night. Me: So, you think homosexuals adopt JUST because they want to give them HIV or whatever and molest them? Mom: Then what do you think? (She was yelling here lol) Me: Possibly... To take care of them? It's an act of kindness. Mom: Hah! Don't let them get to you. They have no business with children. *Shocked* I went to my room after that. It was really shocking for me. Sure, don't like them. But, what you believe is so ridiculous it amazes me how it passes your mind as "acceptable".
