Slinger VS Sin?

I have a 54 Slinger and a 96 Dexless Hermit. I want to know what one i should play. I have about 80mil in the server they are in, and i am trying to transfer close to 70mil from Khaini to broa(server with characters).. What are some pros and cons of playing them AT THIS POINT (So no "Slingers take a month to get to 30... " cause im past that, lol) Thanks

The cleric is not an option.. and now im still leaning towards slinger for 3rd/4th job potential

slinger, there have been tests, and it is proven tahat slingers beat out assassins in the long run (all the numbers were crunched and battleship cannon is around 160% of triple throw, and rapid fire [before the updates dmg %] was around 85% of triple throw) since the majority of pirates will be spending their time in a battleship slinger = win, the only hard pat is lvl 51 - 70 but you have 80 mil funding so worst comes to worst you pay to leech...

The quests for my sin are WAY to hard now. and i also thing slingers are one of the cheapest classes to fund.. So far, im 3:1 for slinger:sin

i personally think Slingers damage is so pathetic is discourages me from playing mine past 46, i mean i love the moves buy it takes soo much mp per invisible shot

rofl i know, cause they have none, everything a sin has a slinger has double, we just have different times. They get FJ in 3rd we get FJ in 2nd, they get dmg in 2nd we get more dmg in 3rd. They get better FJ we get better dmg. Not to mention a 100% mob stun attack that replaces bomb arrow as the stun attack for 2nd jobbers. I say go on the slinger. Yes 2nd job dmg s pretty weak, but you get lots of support skills which make life fun!

The way I see it, Outlaws/Corsairs really pack power. But Hermits/NLs pack the 'damage isn't everything' bundle. If you really like DPS/DPM, Corsairs do well on those. But if you like mobility, avoid, pot saving and meso gaining skills, then NLs are the way to go. I personally like my damage, but I really enjoy using less pots than other jobs (I use less than 100 Barbs on a Zak run, a BM guildie of mine once used 400 Honsters on a pretty avg. run) and I love not getting hit because our ranged-jumpy-spammability allows easy skill dodging and Shifter and our naturally high Avoid = a lot of 'Miss' from monsters (I often shout to my BL/Alliance "L>Someone to teach Skele how to aim! xD"). xD Edit: If you enjoy those easy quests for mesos and the option to PQ for exp, stick to your Slinger. If you got that itch to go bossing, your Hermit can fight a lot of them now. Actually, this is a nice switch-off situation. One for bossing, the other for PQs and making some mesos. xD
