I walk home from school. Sometimes I see an old friend and want to have a chat. But sometimes, either they are too absorbed texting to notice, or we begin a conversation, but it ends abruptly with them going off texting. I find it a bit silly, really. I mean, school just ended, and they usually text the friends they just saw off 5 minutes ago. It's like a little isolation. Not only that, but I know many people who are beggining to just spend the whole day texting. It's gotten to the point of where this happened: Me and my friends were going to play basketball. We invited a lot of people. This one guy (not really my friend, more an aquintance) just came to text. He literally just stood in the corner and texted the whole time. The really funny part? apparantly he was texting to one person saying that he was "playing b-ball w/ friends". Orly? I'm not against cellphones or anything. But at times it just seems that texting goes out of hand...

I think my sister's cell phone is actually permanently attached to her hand now. She'll stop mid-conversation to text and then be like 'huh?'. Even when she has friends over.

I've been guilty of texting on outings a several times, but not to the point where I'd isolate myself from my frinds. :x

I have unlimited text message, and I bet if you put all the time together that I've spent on my phone together in the past 5 years, it wouldn't add up to as much as someone that uses it in a month. But I'll prolly start using it to text my friend to ask if he wants to skate during the summer.

devilskin said: "I don't see the problem." That people are tending to being on their phones texting while isolating themselves from other people. To the point where texting is all they notice.
