My family went missing

I'm really not happy about this. Last Wednesday I found myself a friendly Senior by posting a listening on this website, and someone who wanted to be my junior. I was sick last Thursday until today. I logged in on maple, feeling happy I could finally play and not miss out on the birthday events all to much. I was expecting the birthday patch, and the patch went smooth for me.. everything was great, except me finding out my whole family was deleted.. :/ I'm not going to have a hard time finding one junior back, since that person is my boyfriend, but I really can't remember the name of my Senior so I can contact him, I only remembered his real name >_< He found me in game, and didn't posted in my listening. Has anyone else encountered this same problem, and is there a way to find old family members back? Or is this something that is going to be fixed and my family magically is going to be in my pedigree again?

I think families were deleted or something, I really have no idea.

Can't really fix the problem, all of Maple's data is stored in clusters on their servers, so you wouldn't be able to roll back families without also rolling back buddies, guilds, marriages, and alliances. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what it would rollback, because I don't know how they cluster their data, but this seems logical. There's no way they don't cluster at all, because that require an immaculate amount of server power, and there's no way they cluster everything onto just one server, because it's just too much data. Back on topic, no, it seems like your family is gone for good, caused by a bug during the patching process which probably wouldn't have been catchable in testing because they wouldn't have tested what happens to families during a patch (they certainly could have, but it would be kind of ridiculous to expect them to have since it's a very obscure thing to test. It'd be like testing what happens when a logs out in Aqua Road. You wouldn't really think to test something like that.) unless Nexon handwrites the families back into the game from a backup, which is very unlikely, considering how many families there were. Sorry):

I didn't know others had the same problem, as you can tell from that sentence, if I would have know, I wouldn't even bothered posting, since everyone has the same problem. You want me to put more effort in my post, but you don't find out on your own what a listening is.. even though you already made one yourself last Monday, lol. Anyway, back on topic, thanks for your replies everyone, l was hoping Nexon might have a old backup of the server data on family's, and them having an easier way to write back the date, except for doing it manually. Sigh.. good luck to everyone trying to build up a good family again.

I'm pretty sure I told you that you made a typo and you continued to use it. Now it's not my fault for blaming you. It's you own. What mistake did I make on Monday? Please explain. I don't keep memory of what I do every single day in every single minute in every single moment. You could've just asked your friends like everyone else did about the family thing. No need to bring it up on basil. Use the search button before you post spam. I believe that is one of the rules, if not on basil, then most sites have that rule. The family thing doesn't work. Don't even try looking for your senior. I personally used my brain and added my juniors/seniors to my buddylist. After all, they are your juniors and seniors right?

When I read the title, I thought giving you this advice: Go file a missing persons report after 24 hours. xD Yeah Families went poof! Good thing I didn't do too much with those.
