Why do you max Recoil Shot and Wings before Blank Shot?

I am just wondering if its beneficial to max Blank Shot before Recoil Shot. Other than what is listed in the guide what do people do with the Recoil Shot/Wings during training? Do you fire a bunch of Inivsi Shots and Recoil away? What about using a combo of Invisi and Blank Shots? That sounds like a good tactic.

I personally have never found a reason to have Blank Shot till I was in my late 60s training at Windraiders... And even then if you use the snipe spots it's not needed. Recoil Shot has been alot more useful in training situations then what Blank Shot ever has. If you're training in a large map, let's say STDs, Windraiders, ect.. ect... Stunning 3 monsters when you're surrounded by 8 isn't helpful at all. Blank Shot is about as useless at Grenade. :/

I got 19 mastery then maxed invis, 6booster and maxing blank now I mean recoil n wing isnt useful on training o_o

I find myself using blank shot MUCH more then recoil+ wings. But we may train different.

But we may train different." Most likely.. But also Ice Splitter gets rid of the need of Blank Shot. Now that I can survive a hiit from Elders it's not needed to get to Lower Ascent, thus it's no longer in use. I don't know, maybe in some cases Blank Shot is useful and also depends on the persons playing style.

I started blank shot around 48 because I wanted to LMPQ to at least 60 and it comes in handy there

I'm maxing Blank shot currently, wings and recoil are just at 5 each. Blank shot is way more useful in LMPQ than Recoil+wings. With blank you can just stun all three tauromacis and then invisi-shot away, re-stun, etc. It's so much more useful not only for you, but for your parties members too, particularly if you don't have a hunter or an I'L wiz in your party (freeze is better than stun, hence why we get ice splitter in third). Getting the stupid Tauro's to hold still and quit blasting everyone away with that lightning attack makes killing so much faster. I don't even use wings in the PQ itself, the rooms aren't so big that I need it, and there aren't so many monsters that I need to recoil+wings away. The only time I even occasionally use recoil is when I'm breaking a box, I use recoil to get away from it fast so I don't have a Tauromaci land on my head. Using recoil+wings macroed together in that situation doesn't work, because it takes longer, and by then the Tauromacis have already appeared and hit you. I guess it really depends on whether you're training, or LMPQing? For LMPQ, definitely blank shot before recoil+wings.

Ice Splitter does not completely replace Blank Shot, because not everything can be frozen. And Blank Shot is a THOUSAND TIMES more useful than Grenade, I feel like slapping whoever made that groundless comparison. Ever gone into LMPQ? Blank Shot is what makes you actually useful there. You can stun-lock the 3 Tauros sooo easy, my group in the party never once needed a cleric (or pots) when I LMPQed ages ago. Blank Shot, Invisible shot 4 times, repeat. In your 6x, you can easily solo one of the Tauro rooms, no pots or clerics needed, and its great exp if your party doesn't slack. Aside from that, you can't tell me that stun is useless. There's no way to justify that statement at all, especially since a lot of good training monsters, even in 3rd job cannot be frozen. (Goby house. Typhons. Nightshadows.) If you don't find the stun helpful in 2nd job, please let me be the first one to tell you that you are doing it wrong. Ugh. </rant> Anyways, I was saying all that because of the statement that someone made "blank shot is as useless as grenade" <- That's laughable. All that aside, recoil + wings help more in your 5x range which is why you'd go for them first. Lv1 Blank shot early is still a good idea however. And it is true that ice splitter would be more useful at most spots.

IMO, if you're going to do LMPQ, Recoil Shot has no use in it except for some extra mobility that really isn't necessary all the time. Blank Shot when maxed has a 100% stun rate so it's helpful to just spam it on the Tauromacis. Same with float. It isn't completely/ hardly necessary in LMPQ. Now when you go to train at other places, having at least some in Recoil and Float is a good idea.

the mobility helps you train faster, and when you are mobbed, you can recoil out of it. blank shot has limited use in training in 2nd job . It is very useful early 3rd job with burst fire. however, blank shot is extremely useful in lmpq. but i hate lmpq, so recoil > blank shot in my build.
