There's a question I had for homework (health) that I had and I felt like I should share it with basil. "Should people who weigh more pay more to fly on an airplane?" Oh, I mean "obese"/moribidly obese

No? Why? Everyone deserves equal rights.

I'd say no. It doesn't seem like that important of an issue to charge more for.

Don't they pay for two seats if they're that big? I haven't been on a plane in, like, forever.

I'm sort of undecided, but I'm aiming towards "Depends on if they take up 1 or 2 seats, or possibly 3 seats." For each seat they take up, they should pay more, but not double the price of 1 seat...Just a little more

Nope and if this is regarding the same situation as when the case where a women needed two seats as a result of her weight, and she didn't pay for her extra seat, I agreed with that as well.

wouldn't that be considered unconstitutional?

well, idts. i know in cars they can definitely slow it down, but because airplanes are so large, the weight difference of 2000+ lbs wouldnt really make enough of a difference to make them pay more. i think. o-o

it doesnt do anything how much a person should weigh like? u can have heavy sute case and there for u can have heave ppl and i am 210 pounds but i am not fat and a fat person can be 211 pounds and he has to pay more? not fair

What a silly question. Of course not. Now if they can't fit in one seat. Thats a different problem. The airports should be able to charge them for each seat they need to sit, because each seat taken couldv'e been another customer. But a nice airport wouldn't do that.
