STRless Slinger | Are they worth it?

Ok, I've decided to make a Slinger. My only problem is should I go STRless or REG. I was wondering how much are the maple guns? I'm also thinking of becoming STRless till Lvl 64 then convert back to REG or Low-STR. Can you guys give me some advice?

Go for it =D, i made one, got it to lvl 30 and had 23-216 dmge with +16 dex maple leaf, 20 atk lvl 10 pistol (13+7), +10 Dex robe, slime shoes and the green hat =D, oh also split bullets. If you can get to 35, then your road will be easy from then so gl =D and dont quit lol ^_^.

i don't think there is a point in getting higher damage as a gunslinger, if your going to strless, go all the way

I have a 56 slinger and I absolutely love it. And training isn't bad either (but I LMPQ anyways so who gives a damn).

Actually they'd be worse than that. The Str requirement for GS is so low, with equips that also add str,(Zhelm, Dep Star, Pirate equips), you're pretty much almost there without adding anything.

Currently, I am testing out my own STRless slinger. Not enough motivation though... So far, the damage is a bit above average than most Pre-slingers I meet.

It's the same idea as strless archers are.. Or any class pretty much. Every class except for dexless warriors, and lukless magicians are permantely better then reg. Eventually weapon attack > main stat. Since pirate weps are still very limited yeah for now a high level strless slinger will be stronger, but once we get better scrolled guns around and more types statless slingers will be weaker as corsairs. So yeah maybe you should stay statless to 64 then revert to low str.

How important is str? Bowmans don't do it because frankly, str = level isn't worth it to sacrifice big bows. Now if you were a sin, dex = x2 level, then sacrificing dex would make a big difference. I don't know about the build but if the str req. is str = level, no, it's not worth it. The dex gained by dropping str doesn't compensate for the loss of weapons

not worth it in anyway. Well it actually depends...When i was running my Str-less Hunter i was ripping up Cpq and everything and i had a gold Soul searcher and everything and doing 2k x2 dmg with double shot. Afterwards at lvl 50 i started looking at the bows and they out dmged my bow and the armors had stat boosts so i pretty much was good from 20-50 and then anyone 50+ would just out dmg me so i quited it and made a Brawler( witch i quited as well and now on my Fighter)
