Well, I've noticed ever since I work around more often like picking up boxes and other things quite rapidly my back starts to pain. I know this is VERYYY unnatural for someone like me because of my young age. I am 15 years old and sometimes my back really hurts a lot and I seem like I'm an old man. People say it's because of me sitting down on the computer too much and not excercising and moving around but during the summer I can say I'm somewhat active, playing basketball. During the Winter I pretty much sit all day. I am a computer freak. More like a gamer. I know it's bad for my health but what can I say... I can remember somethings that could have caused my back problems. In my old public school, people used to like punching so sometimes people would punch you no reason and I once got punched in the back. It killed (pain) but I somewhat recovered from it. There was also this time when I was playing basketball and I remember I wanted to dunk but I was too short. So what do I do? Me being the fool, I jump up on the back part of the basketball post (Note: These are the basketball nets that stand up and have that base for outdoor use) and I jump with the ball and sling onto the net for quite a while. Since there was not much water in the base part to keep the weight down it slowly tipped over and I fell down on the concrete with the metal pole slamming against my spine. Ouch- I was like paralyzed sort of. I couldn't get up for a while. My friend tried to help me too and I remember when I fell, some rude guy laughing at me over at the next house. Grow up please, he was like in his Pre-Adult age from maybe 18- early 20's. Ever since those days I get back aches once in a while once I do too much bending down and picking up boxes to transfer onto a crate. Sometimes I can crack my back and pull muscles when I make a turn backwards or to the side. So I guess I might be stuck with this for the rest of my life =/ I'm just wondering if anyone has any problems like this or if it was my long term effect of being on the computer so much.

You just have a weak back I guess..When I was a kid I climbed up to the top of the tree and fell straight down, on my back. I couldn't jump at all for like a month, but I didn't consult a doctor. It healed and now my back is good.

Highly doubtful that sitting down, playing games has done this to your back. BUT with that said, its defiantly not doing you any good. It sounds like your back has had a rough life, and you can do something about this. Regarding work; talk to your boss or supervisor. Let them know what is going on, and that you cannot do any heavy lifting until it is treated. Then seriously consider seeing a chiropractor. They work on bone structures and muscles, and will physically "work" on your back to get it "back in place" so to speak. You also may be given pain medication if its that bad. If you cant seek a chiropractor, just see your local doctor, and they will set you up. The earlier you start looking after your back/getting treatment, the easier it is going to be later on in life!

And since my parents are sometimes ignorant, if I tell them that I should see a doctor they will ask what for? Then I will tell them and they will start blaming the computer. My mom HATES the computer and then I will have like a half hour rant on how my life blah blah blah.
