Girls, do you like flowers?

I was wondering, do you ladies enjoy receiving flowers when you go on a date, or maybe for your birthday or another special occasion? I'd say flowers are somewhat expensive, but I like to give flowers to my date if it's our first date, an anniversary, or on their birthday if it's appropriate. Now, personally I don't usually like to at times since they usually die and it's a waste and kind of sad to see such a beautiful thing die. Your opinion?
