Energy Drain. Wow. xD

So yesterday, a DrK buddy and I were fighting a BF on Twisted Paths and a Marauder buddy of his tagged along. While the DrK and I were taking on the boss, the Maraud went to go charge his Energy Charge. But then he came in and spammed Energy Drain and it was like godly. o.O; The thing was he's a 10x Maraud, but his Energy Drain was scoring constant 10k's on BF and even more amazing, it was 100% KBing BF, something other ranged skills can't do with BF's fixed invincibility frames. But I was wondering, how fast is Energy Drain and what is its range value? Oh, and how does Energy Drain target monsters? (like if a Maraud wanted to, could he perform the same stunt on Black Crow?) xD

I think drain allows like 2-3 drains per second or so. Dont know extactly (havent been on in a month) =(. link <--- Range of Energy Drain. (scroll down).

According to a source (can't remember it), spamming Drain will do 800% damage per second and Energy Drain normally does 360% so that's about 2.2 drains per sec. I agree with you though, drain is godly. I do about 10~12k with max drain (at 12x though, so the Marauder must be heavily funded) and if you can 100% hit bosses and you have enough HP to tank it, you're pretty much invincible for those 50 seconds. @below; Faster (2) is 133 casts per second so pretty much 2.2 drains per sec :D

It doesn't quite have enough range for crow. If you don't have the HP you'd definitely die. It is a very powerful skill. Mine is level one and it can hit upwards of 6k. As for how it targets, it seems random. In a big mob of monsters it seems to hit any of them, but I'm not completely sure. On the skill it doesn't actually tell you it's range, but I suppose it's about one and 1/2 of a max teleport - so it falls somewhere between 200-250 range. As for speed : Flash Fist/Energy Drain Faster (2): 450ms (-150ms) Faster (3): 510ms (-90ms) Fast (4): 540ms (-60ms) Fast (5): 570ms (-30ms) Normal (6): 600ms With booster I'm at either fast (4) or faster (3), and with speed infusion it would be even faster. @_@ It's around 90-110 casts per minute depending on weapon speed I think. o_o Edit : and lemmie buy a toe off you. xD

I've tried drain at Crow. You can pin him into a wall with it but his magic att can still get you so its pretty annoying. I stopped trying to do it because I was scared the drain wouldn't bring my HP up fast enough after each magic att hit me It'd probably be easy with an auto pot just in case drain didn't bring your hp up fast/high enough

I only have 1 drain, and I still use it to train...I hit around 8k with it on windraiders

Btw, Drain (Like every other skill in game) hits the monster that was the first to spawn in the map that's within range. So at Crow for example, if you kill all the Himes once after he spawned, Drain will hit him 100%. -- Edit: Actually I don't know if Hurricane or TT/L7 hit the monster that spawned first, or the monster that's closest. But with Drain, Demo and Barrage it does.
