Hear me out. Basilmarket is a forum, forums are made for discussions and this is one, I see no reason why the other topic got closed. Enlighten me. Untill that time, I had typed this and i still stand by it. This is a reaction to the other topic Rachelity said: " The person you quoted had sexual thoughts in that post. " Nothing personal, but it seems that it's mostly you making posts that i disgree with. I apologize in advance. here is my rant: The mods had NO right to decide if the post was an innuendo. From a single lined post like that you simply cannot judge if the eprson ment it literally or if it ment something totally else, because just because the mod sees it as something inapropriate doesn't mean the purpose of the poster was to give that idea. Now I might have missed something because I missed the actual thread, but that single post should not be a bannable offence. People on this site are young, probably alot of people don't even have the mind to think like that. Yes, I know I am probably defending a lost cause but I think it's immoral to suspend someone without further investigation of the meaning of the post, it has happened more then just this occasion. Like a whole while ago where someone posted "I value your life as that of a fly" and got banned for it, though the post was a reaction to the comment "all life is equal". And I personally got suspended for trying to make someone feel better by posting a picture of a cat and it was classified as bad linking. (Don't ask me why i posted the cat though, I take happy pills) And if you're wondering, I, too, think the post was made with innuendo, but without proof it still isn't fair for me to judge. Damn i'm bored like hell. PS. Posting just QFT is lame, either give your opinion or taste the hammer. end rant This isn't a thread to start a witch hunt to mods. If a mod is planning to close it, please state the reason why before actually closing it. Though if it gets out of hand with flamers you have my full aproval. The reason i made this thread is because I just want to make the mods aware that the suspensions they give should be more accurate. So I think mods should both get more in depth about posts some of the times and there should be a better system to appeal someones suspension, waiting half a day for an answer just sucks. If a mod bans you the same mod should be able to unban you if you could appeal directly to the mod who banned you, even if it's anonymous for the mod. Yes, I am on happy pills this very moment. No, i didn't post this in the suggestion thread because I actually want mods to reply to this thread with their opinions about this issue. Sorry for any typos made. Edit: i found the word I was looking for. Deleting or closing this thread would fall under the tag "censoring"

Mods have the responsibility to keep the forums as clean as possible. By letting innuendo stay, they're not fulfilling their responsibilities and not making Basil age-appropriate, regardless if the people under (requested age) know of those innuendo or not.

I'm gonna re-read the thread in a bit but I get ya. I thought the suspension for the person who wrote the thing that sounded "sexual" should be looked over. Who is a person to determine that something is something out of their own perspective...?

I already stated it was nothing personal, but by posting in a forum you engage in a discussion with your own opinion, be glad you have one :D

Pomstar said: " I already stated it was nothing personal, but by posting in a forum you engage in a discussion with your own opinion, be glad you have one :D" But it's not an opinion, it's a fact that mods aren't allowed to keep sexual comments up and running in the forums

Rachelity said: " But it's not an opinion, it's a fact that mods aren't allowed to keep sexual comments up and running in the forums " I was referring to your general position on basilmarket. You seem to have alot of opnions about alot of topics. although I don't always agree, and if i don't I'm sure to let everyone know :P I'm more of a person to post my arguments then my agreements. Sorry if i come across rude, but it's just me.

originaldude said: " Why not? It's inappropriate, and this site has children on it." The mods don't have responsibility over avatars, only forums and a little tiny bit of other stuff. The rest's up to Mr. B. D:

I read the words 'witch' and 'hunt', and became excited.

originaldude said: " Why not? It's inappropriate, and this site has children on it." Every person has undergartment, and besides, it's pixelated and the private parts are covered up. Society rocks. Edit: lol? at above me. Now where are the mods? i opened this discussion to hear their opinions...

They don't have the responsibility to ban unjust though. And by the look of what he has said, it seems the post was fine, and could be taken in a serious manner.
