I'm lvl 103 crusader and I read somewhere that gobies are good training. I'm currently at the deeper bonefish/gobies map and I don't understand how it works. The houses always shield up before I can break 'em and I have to leave and attack again after. I can't seem to land the coma at the right time, doing nothing too early and hitting 2 or 3 of them when it's late... Should I do up > down? or smthing? I never trained here and I am starting now because there aren't enough priests on to hime all the time... On a side note: I disc randomly when I train there... the picture quickly freezes for a second and shifts around and it brings me to the login screen very quickly.

well then - when they shield up, use the lvl4 shout, and leave. Come back as soon as they've unboosted, because they can't cast again for a minute or so. Get the timing right. - Timing is key for the coma kill. Also, you need to add a little hop (all warrior weapons are shorter than a two-handed sword, which is considered the *best* weapon for gobies - and any 1 handed weapon is incredibly hard to comakill all 6; i've done it, and its hard to learn). You time the little hop as soon as the house bursts, that your coma strikes all 6 gobies RIGHT after they spawn, before they start moving, but after they spawn. If you lag, this is impossible. - I personally like top-down, as jumping up is kind of uncontrollable underwater. Its all personal though, if you're doing the comakill method, the direction doesn't really matter. - There are alternatives; you can kill all the bone fish, then pop all the houses and get a giant mob following you, and kill that in the bottom corner or somewhere. That gives roughly the same exp per hour, maybe more, maybe less, highly dependent on your weapon and how well you deal with bone fishies.

Gobies are just a thing you have to get used to. You just get better and better at controlling the map the longer that you're there. For orienting around the map, I just sort of hop around to wherever there are houses. It's expected that a house should power up before you destroy it most of the time. Proceed to another house or stun it and kill the surrounding bone fish if this happens. And Aqua in general is glitched to disconnect you.

Very carefully.

The posts before me seem to have the right idea, though I felt like chiming in, so here goes: scizaero said: " I'm lvl 103 crusader and I read somewhere that gobies are good training." yep. scizaero said: " I'm currently at the deeper bonefish/gobies map and I don't understand how it works. I can't seem to land the coma at the right time, doing nothing too early and hitting 2 or 3 of them when it's late..." Stop striking when the shield up is cast. Take advantage of the drop-down jumps when moving down through the map, and move to either the closest bonefish, or next nearest house and beat on it 'til it buffs up, then move back to the house you originally started on. roughly half-a-second after the house explodes, a mob of fish will spawn. Get used to reacting fast, because if you see more than one fish, your coma is already too late. Though the reach of your weapon may be an issue, I find I can more often than not hit them all without making that first hop (the hop actually screws up my timing). scizaero said: " Should I do up > down? or smthing? I never trained here and I am starting now because there aren't enough priests on to hime all the time..." How you scale the map hasn't really made a difference in my experience. Be aware however that the number of bone fish on the map is directly related to the amount of goby houses that will spawn. If you ever see more than three together, it's probably a good idea to kill em (if they buff up, treat it the same way you'd treat a house) scizaero said: " On a side note: I disc randomly when I train there... the picture quickly freezes for a second and shifts around and it brings me to the login screen very quickly." It's happened to me too; ForGlory seems to be on to something. Probably not much you can do about that. One last thing: if you manage to get a goby house/bonefish to within roughly one hit of a KO, but then it buffs up, walk into it a few times; Power Guard is unaffected by cancels.

simple answer. get a priest. i used to train there with my buddy, i was 8x or 9x, he was lvl 1xx, it was cool and it was quite good exp. when the houses shield up the priest finishes them off, you kick some goby ass and everyones happy. i could go into a long super boring explination but im not going to. everyone does things diferently EDIT: course you can do it alone, it just takes a bit m,ore perseverance. like, when a house buffs up move to the next one or kill the surrounding bone fish. all it takes is a little practice. after a while of doing it youl be fine

Look if they were talking about a specific job. IMO warriors aren't supposed to train at gobies.

But I thought gobies would be better for bowmen, cause they cancel watk when you come to close.

you could bring a WK with you to take care of the houses, uninteruptible stun does have some very great uses that nobody seems to know about or forget...
