Help between Bowman and Thief

Well I just started to play Maplestory again and I need help picking a new class to play. Since I was a DK for my first character I was deciding to play a range type and I have chose between a Bowman and a Thief. If you think I should play Bowman please tell me why and same goes for Thief. Also for people who might wonder why I didn't put Gunslinger up on the poll is because of their lack of dmg (IMO)

too many sins and unless ur funed to get stars and at least 6 atk wg then dont be a sin btw rangers are stronger with same funding because straff owns with 4 numbered atk and with 4 numbers mean the more chance of the cirtical bounouse which is good because u dont need a sumoning rock like hermits and u have a power nock back skill to make kb 100 percent and raing arrow is close ranged atk pluse u will lvl faster in 1xx lvls because typhons are 3.2k ea and they come in mobs and bowmasters with sharp eye <3

make a dit (yaya, i no u said ranged class, but bowmans and sins r overrated. u can use ranges attacks @ 3rd job tho O.o)

TaiStabz said: "Corsairs have most DPS." this. only problem is that tho they have rapid fire, its faster and better damage (which might seem like a good thing @ 1st) but burns thu bullets like crazy, and they have no soul bullet (slinger version of soul arrow i guess o.o) ;-;
