Hi,my mom has this problem with me hanging out with guy,before I go outside she always askes me if theres a guy,and if I say "yes" she would flip out and start yelling at me and telling me I can't go.Then one day I asked my mom if I could have friends that are guys,and she said "No,there going to end up hugging and kissing you". I find my mom over reacting and/or a bit sexist. But anyways do any basilers have anything I could say to my mom to let me hang out with guys?

My parents won't let me hang out with girls, either haha. I always lie to her though. /ashamed

Um, Maybe tell her to think about it being fair to you, to not have any male friends, while she did. And that you realise that she's trying to protect you but you don't want to be restricted so intensely?... (im not very good at this)

guys are people too, and it's not right to hang out with only girls, because that's half the population and not all guys are attracted to you. like if i have a girl over it's not like she's gonna be attracted to me and want to kiss me and stuff

my mom is just like this with girls. I had to get my friend to lie to her to go to jelly beans with some girls. He had to say "There wont be any girls. they don't allow them there" she's really gullible.

If I even try to tell her shell most likely say she can't trust me going anywhere anymore.

My parents used to be like that when I was really young to a certain extent. Now it doesn't bother them that most of my closer friends are females.

Just tell her that just because you have male friends that doesn't mean there's going to be physical contact of THAT sort (hugging, kissing). In this day and age everyone is friends with everyone (well until they go to high school) and it shouldn't be a problem for your mom to see you hanging out with guys.

She'd probably feel alot better if other girls were with you; shed feel alot safer with you hanging out wth guys.
