Once you're 25 years old, it doesn't matter really. As long as you're dating someone older. Before then, I'd say 4 - 7 years, depending on the age. I don't think a 12 year old has any business dating a 19 year old.

I'm 22, I couldn't date someone under 18, nor could I see myself with a 27 year old. To me it's based more on maturity, but it'd be odd dating a teenager.
